A doctoral student working as a researcher authors a chapter for a book. A more experienced and renowned researcher tries to claim co-authorship without truly contributing to the writing. The protagonist struggles with whether or not to include him while balancing the culture and norms of the organization. Deals with communications, organizational behavior, leadership, stakeholder relationships, short-term versus long-term implications, academic honesty and intellectual property rights. Works well with communications, organizational behavior, leadership, career preparation, and ethics courses, as well as in stand-alone workshops.
