Kolkata East West Metro Corridor project comprises of an under river tunnel that is constructed underneath river Hooghly. Along the course of the project multiple challenges arose ranging from land acquisition problem to political repercussions. The case deals with how KMRC navigated through the challenges to carry out this trailblazing project in order to enhance the urban connectivity and to ease the traffic congestion in Kolkata.
