Step 1. Register HERE to receive faculty access. Confirmation will be sent via e-mail once the registration has been completed by our staff.
Step 2. Once you are verified, log in to the Darden Business Publishing site.
Step 3. Go directly to the GVV case you are interested in, or visit the GVV curriculum page to get to the case that you want to preview.
Step 4. Click on “Download Inspection Copy” to review the student document. Click on “Download Teaching Materials” to review teaching notes, B cases, and other supplements.
The preferred method for assigning GVV and other Darden Business Publishing course materials to your students is to create and assign a course pack. If you are assigning only one document, you will provide your students with a link to the product page for that document.
The links on this page take you each GVV case, where you can add the materials to your cart and proceed to checkout. If you have only GVV materials in your cart, you will not need to enter any payment information, but you will need to complete all the steps of the order process. Your order is complete when you see an order confirmation screen. Then, in 5 to 10 minutes, you will receive an email with a link to your files.
Teaching notes and B cases are available to verified, logged-in faculty members. This page and the teaching notes are restricted to faculty members only. On selected case pages, click the Download Teaching Materials button on the right. Please do not share the page or any of the teaching notes with anyone who is not a faculty member. Thank you!
The Giving Voice to Values Curriculum
Giving Voice to Values (GVV) is an innovative approach to values-driven leadership development in business education and the workplace. Piloted in nearly 1,000 schools, companies and other organizations on all seven continents, the Giving Voice to Values curriculum offers practical exercises, cases, modules, scripts and teaching plans for handling a wide range of ethical conflicts in the workplace.
A Unique Approach to Values-Driven Leadership Development
GVV is not about persuading people to be more ethical. Rather GVV starts from the premise that most of us already want to act on our values, but that we also want to feel that we have a reasonable chance of doing so effectively and successfully. This pedagogy and curriculum are about raising those odds. Rather than a focus on ethical analysis, the Giving Voice to Values (GVV) curriculum focuses on ethical implementation and asks the question: “What if I were going to act on my values? What would I say and do? How could I be most effective?”
Drawing on the actual experience of business practitioners as well as social science and management research, GVV helps students, business leaders, employees, and other practitioners identify the many ways that individuals can and do voice their values in the workplace, and provides the opportunity to script and practice this voice in front of their peers.
