Scott Beardsley assumed office as the Darden School’s ninth dean and Charles C. Abbott Professor of Business Administration on August 1, 2015. He arrives at the Darden School after 26 years at a leading global consulting firm—most recently having worked as a senior partner based out of McKinsey’s offices in Brussels, Belgium. Passionate about business education, Beardsley was drawn to Darden for the School’s global focus, its unparalleled education experience and faculty, its passionate alumni, and the University’s Jeffersonian tradition of excellence.
Beardsley holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and an executive doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.
“I want to help students and organizations realize their full potential and go out and change the world,” he said.
